Every Tuesday for the next seven
weeks; we would be looking at some foods that will help you maintain a healthy body. We would make the posts as simple and short as possible.
So, for this maiden edition we would
be examining WHOLE GRAINS.
Whole grains or foods made from them
contain all the essential parts and naturally-occurring nutrients of the entire
grain seed in their original proportions unlike their refined counterparts.
If you replace white flour
foods with whole grain foods you will definitely get more nutrients from your
food.
Whole grains provide your body with
fiber, folic acid, vitamin E and Magnesium.
Lists of common whole grain foods
are corn, brown rice, sorghum, rye and wheat.
